Our Statement of Faith Sand Mountain Bible Camp receives the Scriptures as the inspired Word of God and the sole authority in matters of faith and practice. The church's understanding of Christian truth is herein contained by the following Declaration of Faith. - We believe that the Bible is the verbal, plenary, and inspired Word of God.
- We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death, was resurrected bodily on the third day, and now sits on the right hand of the Father.
- We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that image was marred by sin and separated man from God.
- We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions for salvation are repentance and faith.
- We believe in the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
- We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman.
Standards and Conduct Sand Mountain Bible Camp maintains high levels of Christian conduct and personal separation. Any camper refusing to abide by the rules will be subject to dismissal. History Sand Mountain Bible Camp is a Christ-centered camp for youths and adults. Founded in 1969 by Bro. Fred Vaught, Sand Mountain is dedicated to reaching the lost and building builders through sound biblical preaching. Brother George Trask became the director in 1986 and has served faithfully for the past 26 years. The camp is currently under the direction of his son, Philip Trask. The camp sponsors youth and teen camps, music camps, men’s retreats, ladies retreats, couples retreats and more. It is available year round for Church retreats, banquets, and other activities. |
